Christine Solaï

Christine Solaï

Artist and choreographer Christine Solaï blends video, performance, and live art, exploring heritage and transmission through film and stage creations that question memory and movement. Her collaboration with Alain Ellouz Paris leads her to translate her universe onto alabaster, a medium rich in history and texture, where light and form merge in a new artistic language.

A POETIC AND SENSORY QUEST

Christine Solaï, visual artist and scenographer, explores memory and transmission through diverse mediums. Trained at the Beaux-Arts de Grenoble and Le Fresnoy, she intertwines video, performance, and live art. Her collaboration with Alain Ellouz Paris marks a pivotal moment: she discovers a new medium—already inscribed with history. Captivated by the veins of the stone, she transposes her mountain drawings onto alabaster, using its natural patterns to reveal landscapes. This fusion of stone and light enriches her artistic language, where nature and history converge in a poetic and sensory dialogue.

“While exploring alabaster, I discovered a living material, already shaped by time, where sediments and fissures trace a pre-existing story.”
