FROM CERAMICS TO ALABASTER
It was in Nièvre that Alistair Danhieux honed his craft, developing a practice rooted in stoneware. His creations are adorned with fluid, hand-painted brushstrokes, applied in a single motion using a blend of oxide and glaze. Exhibited in numerous French galleries, some of his works are also part of the Cité de la Céramique de Sèvres collection. In this first artistic collaboration with Alain Ellouz Paris, Alistair expands his gestural expression, allowing the veining of alabaster to guide him, as if working on a natural canvas.
