Collection Umami
French elegance has taught the art of precision and beauty, Japan whispered the power of restraint. From this dialogue emerged a new light: vibrant, soft, essential. Rooted in ancient fire, captured in alabaster, this light breathes the soul of Umami, a subtle tension between material and immaterial, presence and silence. A light that doesn’t illuminate. It breathes.
WHEN GESTURE BECOMES LIGHT
The meeting between Alain Ellouz and Ana Moussinet was effortless. A shared vision, a mutual desire to shape matter, reveal light, and elevate both through emotion and precision.
This collaboration gave birth to a project rooted in craftsmanship, energy, and the subtle magic of a perfect moment. In Japanese, there’s a word for this: Shun — the precise instant when nature, materials, and energy reach their peak.
From this alchemy was born UMAMI, a sculptural collection where alabaster becomes breath, and light, respiration.

ISOUHA wall sconce
Like Japanese haikus, those brief poems that evoke deep emotion through nature and time, each lighting piece is a sculpted moment, a quiet sensation made tangible.
Six poetic creations, shaped from fire and silence, embody the spirit of UMAMI.
