A man of a thousand lives, Alain Ellouz is a self-taught entrepreneur and a passionate sculptor. In 1985, he founded an IT company that became one of France’s top 100 IT service firms before selling it in 2000 to an international group. He then dedicated himself to transforming the Domaine du Montcel—an exceptional site in Jouy-en-Josas, formerly home to the renowned Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain—into a cultural and event venue.
His journey with alabaster began in 1995 when he discovered sculpture. Captivated by the stone’s exceptional nature and unique beauty, he decided in 2005 to make it the cornerstone of a new entrepreneurial adventure: Atelier Alain Ellouz.
A visionary creator in constant motion, Alain Ellouz blends artistic intuition with business pragmatism. A devoted practitioner of meditation, he enjoys “keeping the window of his mind wide open” while remaining firmly grounded in the realities of entrepreneurship. A resolute optimist, he turns challenges into opportunities, always seeking unexplored paths to push the boundaries of what is considered impossible.
