LIBERTY or The metaphysical design of tubular structures by Atelier Alain Ellouz
Monday June 1st at 2 pm ET (8 pm CEST) marked the virtual launch of LIBERTY, a new collection of alabaster lighting by Atelier Alain Ellouz. At the end of the event’s countdown, the design community, AAE followers and the international press got a LIVE preview of this remarkably unique collection of alabaster lighting fixtures.
These innovative and contemporary pendant lights create a distinct dialog between space and light. Tubular structures in back-lit alabaster resemble industrial loft ceilings, shedding light on the obscure. LIBERTY is lighting design that offers a sensorial experience. Their versatility invites you to combine them and create sculptural and resolutely contemporary floating compositions.
The LIBERTY collection includes three different models of varying shapes and constructions. LIBERTY D suggests the post-modern style of exposed pipework. Imagine a flowing, luminous structure in perfect balance or, inversely, in a delicate equilibrium. The dynamic contours of LIBERTY N echo a radiant pathway in suspension. Depending on how it is centered when hung, the tubular structure floats horizontally or vertically in the air. Crafted with two straight alabaster tubes and a curved section, LIBERTY A is symmetrical in design. The structure forms a resonating circumflex accent.
With its poetic expression, LIBERTY is the latest variation of the vocabulary of forms in our INFINITY collection. Atelier Alain Ellouz pursues innovative alabaster design with this bold, contemporary collection. Its sleek design is a continuation of our INFINITY concept.
