ALTA is a nod to the modernist and bold spirit of the Maison du Jeune Homme project by René Herbst, Louis Sognot and Charlotte Perriand designed for the Brussels International Exposition of 1935.

ALTA unfurls its graphic contours in the space around it, offering a stretched out ring floating in suspension. Its elegant and minimalist silhouette appears to defy the laws of gravity, conjuring up the French designer René Herbst and his sports equipment-like creations. Linear, balanced and simple. There’s something about ALTA that evokes the picture of an athlete frozen in motion.
The leather straps pass through the stone’s mass, held together solely by two delicate brass binding screws that mirror the oblong shape of the alabaster piece.
Available in two sizes, 120 cm or 180 cm in length, ALTA is sculptural lighting designed for contemporary spaces where it’s sure to dialog with the room’s furniture.
