A winning week in NY for Atelier Alain Ellouz
It was only a year ago that Atelier Alain Ellouz opened its NYC showroom in the trendy Soho District. Just a year later, the workshop won NYCxDesign’s ‘Best Architectural Lighting’ award for its Infinity concept. A true achievement!
And the winner is…
In May, New York becomes the perfect feeding ground for design aficionados. From the ICFF to the Javitz Center, or from the ‘Soho District Celebrates Design’ event to the unveiling of INFINITY, Atelier Alain Ellouz did not miss a beat!
Being nominated for a NYCxDesign award was a huge surprise, not to mention winning one. As a contender in the ‘Architectural Lighting’ category, INFINITY, AAE’s latest concept, won the unanimous vote. Winning such a prestigious award was a great honor for the France-based workshop, and their triumphant smiles captured by the Interior Design Magazine says it all.

INFINITY: a successful premiere
Atelier Alain Ellouz opened its showroom doors to more than 300 designers for a preview of its latest remarkable creation: INFINITY. The May 15th opening night was a genuine success with over a hundred well-known guests, including names like Ismael Leyva Architects, Pembrooke & Ives, Christian Lahoude Studio, Mathieu Lehanneur and Design by Human.
The Open House Days continued all throughout the week until the closing night on May 22nd. Set against a backdrop designed especially for the occasion, guests were able to get a first peek at INFINITY, and discover the more familiar pieces in the workshop’s collection.
Intriguing, fascinating, and offering endless possibilities, the INFINITY concept won over its audience! Thanks to a rich vocabulary of forms blending quarter-circle and straight elements, designers will be able to create their own version of INFINITY and thus participate in a collaborative collection of pieces.
Atelier Alain Ellouz embarks on a new journey where a unique, collaborative creativity with designers takes the stage.
Paris on the horizon
After NYC, INFINITY will make its appearance in Paris in September 2019.
