On the occasion of its 150th anniversary, the iconic and legendary Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc is opting for brand new esthetics ! This wonderful haven for creative minds and romantic getaways has completely redesigned and re-decorated both of its dining spaces: the Eden-Roc Bar and Rotunda, the Eden-Roc Grill and the Louroc Restaurant. Brazilian architect Patricia Anastassiadis is behind this monumental transformation with timeless elegance. Noble refined materials at heart of the design help enhance and magnify the history of the venue. These restaurant spaces’ design configurations are ultimately sublimated by Atelier Alain Ellouz’s lighting fixtures that, along with the privileged view of the Mediterranean sea, invite contemplation and reflection.
Lighted lifebuoys subtly illuminate the terrace of the Eden-Roc Bar and the Eden-Roc Grill restaurant
A lighted ring suspended on the air lusters in the legendary Eden-Roc bar and outdoor restaurant Eden-Roc Grill. The OSLO chandelier that reminds us of a buoy connects the inner and outer spaces of the restaurant to an idyllic adventurous life in the Mediterranean. Impressive blue views along with the twirling OSLOS refine the setting. A drink, the sea, the landscape, yet the eyes keep falling on these original alabaster stone art pieces. Alabaster creations that carry the earth and its natural beauty, that fluctuates in color and variety, in harmony with the leather hangers.
Bar la Rotonde, a place full of history and stories
The Bar La Rotonde, formerly known as the Eden-Roc Pavilion, tea room where hotel guests and local residents met and mingled. Usually frequented by members of the royalty, Maharajas, important businessmen and renowned artists, it soon became a true institution on the French Riviera.
Nowadays an intimate and elegant bar, La Rotonde invites you to enjoy an aperitif in an intimate and private space in the heart of the Cap-Eden-Roc hotel. This bar, steeped in history and with a clear-open view, culminated its alluring architecture with a piece by Atelier Alain Ellouz. The verticality of the SUMATRA chandelier contrasts with the ovoid shape of the room. This contemporary and delicate composition, tailored specially for this space, diffuses a light as deep as the peaceful waters of Cap d’Antibes.
Restaurant Louroc, a contemporary gastronomy staged with art
Dazzling decoration starred by its cuisine, the gourmet restaurant Louroc promises its guests an unforgettable dinner facing the bucolic sunset of the Mediterranean.
“When designing Restaurant Louroc, we were strongly influenced by the history of this iconic meeting place. Many legendary events have been held here and illustrious guests used to dine here. We did not seek to wipe out the past, but to pay homage to it, to explore it further. So we kept the original vaults on the ceiling in order to give continuity and to modernize the space with custom contemporary furniture” says architect and designer Patricia Anastassiadis. Thus, the alabaster SOHO sconces, custom designed by Atelier Alain Ellouz, redefine the atmosphere of the restaurant. By preserving the original and chic design, the alabaster lighting fixtures contribute to the timeless elegance of the place.
A renovation that puts the hotel at the height of elegance
As architect-designer Patricia Anastassiadis highlights, “the spaces are redefined and full of modernity, while maintaining the architectural foundations, to better highlight the spectacular sea view. Echoing the music of each moment of life, the restaurants each have their own style”. Atelier Alain Ellouz’s lighting fixtures partake and play key-role in the conservation of the “French Riviera” spirit anchored in the walls of the Cap-Eden-Roc hotel. “The choice of alabaster was ideal with the wood panels and allowed us to play with the contrasts between the materials while maintaining the same leitmotif”. Each guest of the hotel will experience the discovery of alabaster and its vibratory light. The pure and contemporary lines of the Alain Ellouz workshop’s lighting fixtures hypnotize and create a calm and serene scenery in the hotel’s dining rooms. With these alabaster lightings a contemporary design universe is revealed, sharing infinite variations of light with intimate qualities.
